A ceramic coating adds a clear, water-repellent layer over prepared paint. We assess the finish first, agree any correction, define the coated areas and give you the product, price, timing and care requirements in writing.
Published guide: AED 1,500 to AED 5,000. The final quotation depends on vehicle size, paint condition, correction, coating system and covered surfaces.
Ceramic coating prices
This is the current published guide for full-car ceramic coating work. A smaller gloss-painted car with limited preparation sits nearer the lower end. Larger vehicles, paint correction, specialist finishes, multiple layers or additional surfaces can move the quotation higher.
Your written quotation will show whether VAT is included, along with the total, preparation, coated surfaces and any separately priced extras before booking.

What your quotation should identify: wash and decontamination, paint correction if required, coating product or system, number of layers, coated body areas, optional glass or wheel work, curing and collection timing, aftercare and any product-specific warranty terms.
Choose your coating plan
Coating selection should follow the paint finish, current condition and the result you value. Choose the closest priority. It will be carried into the quote form so you can ask a specific question without diagnosing the paint yourself.
A coating is most suitable on stable, properly cleaned paint. Swirls, sanding marks, overspray, peeling clear coat and stone chips do not disappear under a transparent coating. They need to be assessed before application.
Is your paint suitable?
Stable gloss paint: usually the most straightforward coating candidate. The inspection separates contamination from defects that need correction and from damage that needs paint repair.
Matte or satin paint: may be suitable only with a compatible coating. Ordinary polishing can create shiny patches and permanently change the sheen.
Fresh or repainted panels: require the paint system to be ready for coating. Tell us when the panel was painted, which products were used if known and whether the refinisher gave a coating date.
Peeling, cracked or unstable clear coat: is not repaired by ceramic coating. Use our car painting service when the paint layer itself needs repair.
Ceramic, wax or PPF?
These products solve different problems. Ceramic coating is useful for gloss, water behaviour and easier maintenance. It is not a thick impact film.
A lower-cost, shorter-term surface treatment for shine and water behaviour. It needs more frequent renewal and suits owners who want simple periodic protection.
A bonded liquid coating over prepared paint. It can improve gloss, water repellency and cleaning, but it does not make paint scratch-proof or eliminate water spots.
A physical film chosen for stone-chip and light-abrasion exposure. Coverage, seams and film condition are different decisions. Compare paint protection film when impact protection is the priority.
What result should you expect?
On gloss paint, the finish can look deeper and feel easier to wash, especially when defects have been corrected first. On matte or satin paint, the goal is to preserve the intended sheen, not add gloss. Water beading is a visible behaviour, not proof that the coating blocks every contaminant.
Bird droppings, minerals, harsh chemicals, poor washing and physical impacts can still mark the surface. Routine care remains necessary. Ask for a realistic finish based on the paint you have, not a generic “showroom” promise.
Timing and practical arrangements
Allow at least a full workshop day for many coating jobs. Paint correction, larger vehicles, multiple layers, cure requirements or freshly repaired panels can extend the stay or require overnight collection. We confirm the expected handover time with the chosen system and paint condition before booking.
Bring the car to our Al Quoz 4 workshop at the agreed time. Send photos first if you want an initial price direction, but final preparation and finish decisions depend on seeing the paint under workshop lighting. Pickup or delivery is not included unless it appears in your written quotation.
Inspect the finish
We identify the paint type, contamination, swirls, scratches, previous repair areas, chips and unstable clear coat.
Agree preparation
The quotation separates wash and decontamination, paint correction, repairs and separately coated surfaces.
Prepare and coat
The agreed surfaces are cleaned and prepared, then the chosen coating system is applied according to its process.
Cure and inspect
Handling and collection follow the product requirements. We check the visible finish and remove any application residue before release.
Collect with instructions
You should leave knowing the product used, covered surfaces, first-wash timing, maintenance and written warranty terms if any.
Paint, wheels and glass
Full-car ceramic coating usually means the agreed painted body panels. Wheels, exterior glass, trim, film and cabin surfaces use different products and are not automatically included.
Painted body coverage
- Define whether painted bumpers, mirrors and roof are included
- Identify repainted panels and any areas held back
- Agree the paint-correction level before coating
- Record the product or coating system on the quotation
Optional surface coating
- Wheel faces or full wheel work must be itemised
- Exterior glass needs a product intended for glass
- Matte trim and film need compatibility checks
- Interior leather, fabric and plastic are separate work
Coating and paint warranty
BodyShop.ae’s two-year warranty applies to qualifying paintwork only. It is not a two-year ceramic coating, detailing, polishing, PPF or cleanliness guarantee.
Ceramic coating cover is product-specific. If a coating warranty applies to your selected system, the written quotation should state the product, coated surfaces, coverage period, maintenance duties, inspection requirements and claim process. Do not assume a blanket coating warranty from the paint warranty.

Check before collection
- The finish is even, without visible high spots or product residue
- Edges, badges, trim, glass and panel gaps are clean
- The invoice names the preparation, coating and covered surfaces
- You have the first-wash date and care instructions
- Any product warranty is written with its conditions

Send the vehicle make and model, paint finish, main concern and clear photos in daylight. We will confirm the preparation, coating system, covered surfaces, price, VAT treatment, expected timing and product-specific warranty terms if any.
WhatsApp opens a prepared message. You still need to send it and attach photos. The workshop confirms availability and the booking.
Ceramic coating questions
How much does ceramic coating cost in Dubai?
The current published BodyShop.ae guide is AED 1,500 to AED 5,000. Vehicle size, paint condition, correction, coating system, layer count and extra surfaces affect the final figure. The written quotation confirms VAT treatment.
Does ceramic coating stop scratches and stone chips?
No. It can add resistance to light contamination and make washing easier, but it does not make paint scratch-proof. Paint protection film is the more relevant option when stone-chip and physical-impact protection are the priority.
Can ceramic coating go over existing scratches?
It can, but a clear coating does not hide scratches. Eligible swirls and light defects may be improved with agreed paint correction first. Deep scratches, chips, peeling clear coat and unstable paint need a different repair.
Can you coat matte or satin paint?
Potentially, with a product compatible with the specific finish. Matte and satin paint should not receive ordinary gloss polishing because that can change the sheen. We inspect the finish before confirming the method.
How long does ceramic coating take?
Many coating jobs need at least one full workshop day. Paint correction, larger vehicles, multiple layers, cure requirements or freshly repaired panels may extend the stay. We confirm the expected collection time before booking.
Is there a ceramic coating warranty?
There is no blanket two-year coating warranty. The two-year BodyShop.ae warranty is for qualifying paintwork only. If the chosen coating system has warranty coverage, its product, period, surfaces, maintenance conditions and claim process will be stated in writing.
When can I wash the car after coating?
Follow the first-wash timing supplied with the selected product and job. Cure requirements vary, so we provide the applicable handover instruction rather than one universal waiting period.

Yes. Send the vehicle model and clear photos for initial price direction. The workshop confirms paint condition, preparation, covered surfaces and the final quotation before the booking is agreed.
