Start with what you can see

What does your paint need?

Select the closest description. It helps prepare your enquiry, not diagnose the paint from a screen.

Your main paint concern
Swirls or buffer trails

Start with a correction test

Fine wash marks and buffer trails can often be reduced on sound gloss paint. A small test section helps compare a light enhancement with cutting and finishing before working across the car.

For your enquiry Show us the marks in angled light and mention any previous polishing.

Discuss this paint condition
Dull or cloudy paint

Check what is dulling the finish

Road film and bonded contamination need cleaning first. Where the coating is sound, polishing may improve clarity. Peeling clear coat, patchy colour loss and failed old paint are a repair discussion, not a heavier-polish request.

For your enquiry Send a whole-panel photo and a close-up of the dull area.

Water marks or stains

Clean deposits before chasing etching

Mineral deposits sitting on the surface and etching into the finish need different treatment. Appropriate cleaning may resolve the first; remaining etching needs assessment before any abrasive correction.

For your enquiry Tell us how long the spots have been there and what has already been tried.

A deep scratch or chip

Separate polishing from paint repair

A polish cannot fill missing paint, remove a dent or repair rust. We can assess whether to soften a correctable mark or discuss a local paint repair. Scratch depth cannot be confirmed from a fingernail test or photograph alone.

For your enquiry Photograph both the complete panel and the damaged edge.

Matte, film or coated paint

Identify the surface first

Conventional gloss polishing is not suitable for matte or satin paint. Vinyl and PPF follow their own care rules, while abrasive polishing can affect an existing ceramic coating. Tell us what is on the car before booking.

One stage or two?

Car buffing, machine polishing and paint correction describe related work. A stage is a distinct correction or finishing step, not a universal quality grade. The pad, abrasive, technique and paint response matter as much as the number on the package.

Single-stage gloss enhancement

A suitable pad-and-product combination improves light marring and clarity in one polishing stage. It is a practical option when the finish is generally sound and you want a noticeable refresh rather than maximum defect removal.

Two-stage cut and polish

A cutting or compounding step addresses suitable defects; a finer polishing step refines the finish left behind. It can suit stronger swirls and buffer trails when the coating allows that work.

Further correction, only when justified

Some panels need extra attention, while others should not be cut further. Multi-stage work is assessed individually. Wet sanding is not automatically part of a full polish, and a higher stage count is not permission to chase every scratch.

We agree the expected improvement rather than promise a fixed scratch-removal percentage for an unseen car.

Preserve the finish beneath the marks

See a test section first

For correction work, agree a small representative test section before committing to an aggressive full-car treatment. Compare the improvement and remaining defects under the same inspection light.

The useful question is not simply “Can that scratch disappear?” It is “Can it be improved without sacrificing too much of the surrounding finish?” Keeping a deeper mark can be the better decision for the paint.

Previous repainting, thin edges and unknown correction history need extra care. Thickness readings, where taken with a suitable instrument, support the assessment. A standard total-coating reading does not separately establish how much clear coat remains.

01

Agree the target

Identify the swirls, haze or other marks you most want improved. Point out old paint repairs and existing protection.

02

Compare the response

Review the test area’s clarity, remaining defects and finish. Avoid choosing the work from a shine-only photograph.

03

Approve the treatment

Confirm the correction level, price, areas being left alone and final protection before the rest of the car is treated.

Look at the type of defect before deciding how much correction it needs.
Correct what the coating can allow

What polishing can improve

On suitable gloss paint, machine correction can reduce wash swirls, fine scratches, holograms and surface haze. Some oxidation and water-spot etching can also respond, depending on their depth and the coating’s condition.

Deposits, tar and bonded contamination should be distinguished from damage within the coating. Cleaning or decontamination may be the first answer, rather than repeatedly cutting the paint.

What needs a different repair

Stone chips, missing colour, dents, corrosion and peeling clear coat are not fixed by buffing. A scratch that catches a nail is a reason to inspect it, not proof of which paint layer it reaches.

For isolated chips and paint loss, compare our car touch-up paint service instead of paying for repeated polishing that cannot fill the damage.

Restore first. Protect appropriately.

Polish, wax or ceramic?

They perform different jobs. Know which part of your quotation improves the finish and which part adds protection.

Correction

Polish and compound

Abrasive products refine suitable defects by removing a small amount of material. A pure finishing polish is not automatically a protective coating.

Enhancement

Glaze or all-in-one

A glaze can disguise some marks temporarily. All-in-one products can combine light correction and protection. Ask which result is being quoted, rather than treating every shiny finish as full correction.

Maintenance protection

Wax or sealant

A protective application follows suitable preparation. The product, washing and exposure affect maintenance needs. It cannot replace missing paint or stop every scratch.

Additional protection

Ceramic coating or PPF

These are separately specified services, not included because a package says “premium.” Agree any correction beforehand and confirm the product, coverage, curing and terms.

Planning longer-term surface protection? Explore ceramic coating after agreeing the paint preparation. A coating does not make washing damage impossible.

The finish matters more than the badge

Dark paint deserves careful finishing

Black, dark blue and other glossy colours can make haze and buffer trails particularly noticeable. We judge the finish at different angles rather than relying on a quick reflection under soft lighting.

Tell us whether the car has original paint, a previous respray or recent refinishing. Your BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Toyota or Nissan does not need a treatment chosen solely by make or age. The actual coating and its response guide the work.

Matte, satin, wraps and coatings

Matte and satin paint are not candidates for conventional gloss polishing. Vinyl, PPF and peelable coatings need product-specific care. Abrasive polishing can affect a ceramic coating, so share the product history before booking a correction.

Plan the visit around your car

Time, inclusions and collection

Allow several hours for light enhancement. More extensive full-car correction can occupy a full working day or longer, particularly on a large vehicle or where contamination needs extra treatment. Added coatings can require further curing time.

Send your make, model, year and photos before travelling. We can discuss the likely type of work and available booking slots, then confirm the treatment after seeing the paint. Mention an important collection deadline at the start.

This is a workshop service in Al Quoz 4. Pickup, delivery, assessment charges and availability are confirmed separately. Confirm collection arrangements and timing with us before planning your visit.

Compare quotations properly

Check these five things

  • Preparation: wash, contamination removal and protection of trims.
  • Correction: the panels, stages and realistic improvement.
  • Protection: the exact wax, sealant or separate coating.
  • Extras: interior work, lights, glass and repairs priced separately.
  • Your total: agreed work, VAT, extra charges and collection timing.

Cleaning and caring for a glossy vehicle finish
Careful washing helps avoid the next set of wash marks.
Keep the clarity between visits

Better washing. Less repeat cutting.

Removed defects do not return by themselves. New marring can be introduced by dry dusting, dirty towels and unsuitable washing. Temporary fillers can also wash away and reveal marks that were never removed.

Rinse loose grit away, use suitable wash products and clean soft towels, and follow the aftercare for your chosen protection. Avoid rubbing dust off a dry panel. Raise stubborn deposits with the workshop rather than repeatedly scrubbing them.

Polishing should respond to the paint’s condition, not a promise that every car needs abrasive correction every few months. Cleaning and refreshing protection can be enough between correction visits.

At handover: compare the finish in suitable light, check for residue around badges and rubbers, and confirm any marks intentionally left to preserve the paint.

Car polishing questions

Practical answers about costs, correction, paint safety and aftercare.

How much does car polishing cost in Dubai?

Our guide ranges are AED 300–500 for a light gloss enhancement, AED 800–1,200 for a full exterior polish and AED 1,500–2,500 for a detailing-and-polish combination. These are budgets, not fixed quotations. Vehicle size, paint condition, correction stages and selected protection affect the work. Your written quotation confirms inclusions, VAT and the total payable before approval.

Is one-stage or two-stage polishing better?

Neither is automatically better for every car. One-stage polishing can improve light marring and gloss with a suitable pad and product. Two-stage correction separates cutting from finishing for defects that need more work. A test area and the paint condition should guide the choice, not a promise that more stages always means a better result.

Can car polishing remove deep scratches?

Polishing can reduce or remove suitable light defects in the coating, but it cannot replace missing paint. Deep scratches, stone chips, rust and peeling clear coat may need paint repair instead. Even some scratches within the clear coat are too deep to remove safely. A fingernail test alone cannot establish the remaining safe thickness.

Can you polish just one panel?

Yes, ask for an assessment of the affected panel rather than assuming the whole car needs correction. We compare it with the surrounding finish and explain whether local work is sensible. Panel-only polishing is quoted individually; headlights, glass, wheels, unpainted trim and body repairs are not automatically included.

How long does a full car polish take?

Allow several hours for a light enhancement and potentially a full working day or longer for extensive correction. Cleaning, contamination removal, the vehicle size, test work and any chosen coating all affect collection. We agree the booking and expected completion before drop-off. A same-day request is not an automatic same-day confirmation.

How long will the polished finish last?

A defect physically removed through polishing does not reappear on its own. New wash marks and other damage can still occur, and glazes can temporarily disguise marks rather than remove them. The durability of a wax, sealant or coating is a separate question. We explain the chosen product and maintenance rather than promise a universal number of months.

How often should I polish my car?

Use the condition of the paint, not a fixed frequent schedule. Abrasive correction removes material, so repeated cutting without a reason is not routine maintenance. Careful washing and appropriate protection help preserve the finish between assessments. A well-kept car may only need cleaning and protection, not another machine polish.

Can you polish black cars, matte paint or ceramic coatings?

Black and other dark gloss colours can benefit from carefully selected finishing because haze and buffer trails are easy to see. Matte and satin paint must not receive conventional gloss polishing. Tell us about PPF, vinyl and ceramic coatings: film care is product-specific, and abrasive polishing can remove or alter a coating.

Is this a mobile polishing service or a workshop booking?

This page is for polishing at our Al Quoz 4 workshop. Call or WhatsApp to discuss your car and an available slot. Pickup, delivery and any charges must be confirmed separately. We do not advertise an unconfirmed free collection or at-home service as part of these guide prices.

Does polishing include a two-year warranty?

No. Our two-year paint warranty applies to paintwork, not to car polishing or a promise that swirls cannot return. Ask for any job-specific support or coating warranty in writing. A coating product has its own terms and maintenance requirements; it does not inherit the paintwork warranty.
