Compare the job your car needs, not just the lowest number. These are planning estimates for paintwork, with 5% VAT included.

Dents, cracked bumpers, rust, unstable old paint and replacement parts need separate assessment. The final written quotation lists what is included and the total payable.

Keep good paint where possible

Polish, touch up or repaint?

Not every mark needs a respray. We assess the depth of the damage and the condition of the existing coating before recommending paintwork.

A small touch-up fills a local chip. It does not create the same appearance as refinishing a whole panel. A proper choice starts with the result you expect, not an automatic full repaint.

Help me choose the repair

Light scuffs or swirl marks

Sound clear coat may respond to paint correction. Polishing cannot replace missing colour or repair a peeling coating. We check what can safely be retained.

A deep scratch or bumper scrape

When damage reaches the colour or the surface underneath, local repair or panel painting may be needed. Dents and cracked plastic are addressed before painting.

Peeling, rust or a poor old repaint

Failed coatings and corrosion need preparation, not another layer of colour over the problem. We identify areas that need stripping, treatment or body repair before quoting.

Fading across several panels

Compare selected-panel repairs with a same-colour exterior repaint. Widespread deterioration can make a full repaint more practical, while sound original panels may be worth keeping.

A better quote is a clearer quote

Know what you are paying for

Get a quote that lets you compare like for like. Agree the preparation, painted areas and finish before leaving your car at the workshop.

The panels and the preparation

Name each panel, existing dents, peeling areas and previous repairs. Ordinary preparation is different from removing unstable paint or correcting corrosion.

Removal, masking and reassembly

Agree which handles, trims, lamps or other fittings need removal. Glass, rubbers and areas outside the job need protection; old clips and damaged trims may require replacement.

The finish and the blend

Confirm the colour, gloss level and paint system. Where an adjacent panel needs colour blending, show it in the quote rather than surprising you at collection.

The price and the collection plan

The quote should show agreed labour and materials, any separately priced bodywork, VAT, the total and the expected completion. Additional findings need your approval.

Factory-style paint matching

A colour match,
not just a code.

Your paint code is the starting point. We also assess the colour already on the car, nearby panels, previous repainting and the way the finish looks in different light.

Metallic and pearl colours can look different head-on and at an angle. Spray-out checks and a suitable blend area help us judge the colour before completing the repair. We explain when a blend into a neighbouring panel is recommended and include it in the agreed work.

We check the result on the assembled car, not just a loose paint sample. Seeing the original finish first lets us recommend the right match and blend for your vehicle.

Comparing a vehicle paint finish with colour references
The surrounding paint matters as much as the original colour code.
Colour and gloss are separate choices

Choose the finish that suits your car

Keep the original look or discuss something different. We confirm the paint system, sample and repair requirements before you approve a specialist finish.

Solid gloss

A clean, non-effect colour with the agreed gloss and texture. A waterborne basecoat describes the paint technology, not a separate visual finish.

Metallic and pearl

Effect pigments change with the light and viewing angle. Matching, application and blending need to work together, especially on large or adjacent panels.

Matte and satin

Low-gloss finishes require sheen matching as well as colour matching. They cannot be polished like ordinary gloss paint, so repair planning and aftercare are different.

For custom colours, colour-shift effects or unusual finishes, ask us to confirm availability and a sample before booking. We do not substitute a screen colour for an agreed paint sample.

One panel or every exterior panel

What does a full repaint include?

A same-colour refresh and a colour change are different jobs. Decide how far the new colour should go before comparing full-car prices.

01 / Local repair

A panel repaint

For one damaged bumper, door, fender, bonnet or roof. We prepare the agreed panel and assess whether surrounding colour needs blending.

A whole panel is not the same as a small chip touch-up. Any body repair or blend work must be identified.

Request this paintwork
02 / Same colour

An exterior refresh

For tired or inconsistent paint across the car. The quote identifies the exterior panels being repainted and the preparation needed on each.

Door shuts, under-bonnet areas, boot openings and the engine bay are not automatically included in an exterior price.

Request this paintwork
03 / New colour

A complete colour change

For a different colour, discuss exposed edges, door openings and the areas visible when the bonnet or boot opens. More coverage means more preparation and removal work.

Confirm current Dubai Police permission and RTA vehicle-record requirements before changing the registered colour.

Request this paintwork

Government approvals and vehicle-record fees are separate from paintwork. For registration information, use the Dubai government vehicle-registration service and confirm the current requirements before work starts.

The work beneath the shine

Preparation makes the difference

A fresh coat should sit on a properly prepared surface. We resolve the agreed defects before building the finish, rather than using colour to hide them.

  1. Inspect and agree

Identify the panels, paint damage and previous repairs. Agree the quote, colour and areas to be painted.

  2. Prepare the surface

Complete approved denting and bodywork, remove unsuitable coating where needed, sand and clean the repair, then protect surrounding areas.

  3. Build the finish

Use a compatible primer, colour and clear-coat process for the chosen system. Layer count, flash time and curing follow the actual products, not a universal recipe.

  4. Refit and inspect

Refit the agreed components and check colour, finish, panel edges and affected fittings. Refine gloss paint where suitable; matte finishes need a different approach.

Careful application follows the preparation, not the other way around.
Plan around the work

How long will painting take?

A straightforward bumper or single-panel repaint may take around one to two working days. That assumes the preparation is manageable and no extra repair or part delays arise.

Several panels, a full exterior repaint or a colour change need several working days and a longer booking slot. Peeling coatings, rust, previous filler, complex colours and extra dismantling extend the work. Agree your collection date before drop-off rather than arranging around an online estimate.

Dry enough to handle is not the same as ready for every cleaning or protection product. We explain washing, polishing and protection timing for the paint system used on your car.

Need the car for a particular date? Tell us before booking. Ask about the available slot, inspection charges and pickup arrangements. These are confirmed separately, not automatically included in a paint price.
Before and after collection

Keep the finish looking right

At collection

Review the painted areas with the team. Keep the invoice, paint-warranty information and any aftercare instructions.

First washes

Follow the coating-specific instructions. Avoid abrasive washing and harsh chemicals, and get advice before treating a fresh mark yourself.

Polish, ceramic or PPF

Confirm the appropriate waiting period and product compatibility before applying wax, ceramic coating, vinyl or paint protection film. These are separate services.

Matte and satin care

Use suitable low-gloss care products. Do not machine-polish a matte panel or use a gloss-enhancing treatment to remove a mark.

A finish you can inspect

Check the result with us

Look beyond the first reflection. At handover, review the repaired panels and the work listed on your quotation.

  • Colour. View the panel alongside its neighbours, head-on and from an angle, in suitable light.
  • Surface. Check the agreed gloss or sheen, visible texture, dust inclusions, runs and polishing marks.
  • Edges and fittings. Look at masking edges, glass and rubbers, trim seating and any parts removed for painting.
  • Paperwork. Confirm which panels were painted, any limitations agreed beforehand, aftercare and paint-warranty details.

Selling the car later? Keep the invoice showing which panels were painted and any body repairs. It gives future buyers a clear record of whether the work was a cosmetic refresh or part of an accident repair.

Experience, with a clear promise

Two years of paint cover

Our paintwork carries a two-year warranty. The cover relates to the agreed painted areas and eligible paintwork concerns, under the written paint-warranty terms.

The two-year warranty applies to paintwork only. It is not a two-year warranty on all body repairs, replacement parts or mechanical and electrical work.

Keep your invoice and report a concern with photos of the affected panel. Contact us before another workshop sands, polishes or repaints it, so the original condition can be inspected.

BodyShop.ae combines 10+ years of experience, 200+ happy clients and factory-style paint matching. Your quotation and handover documents make clear what we painted and how to look after it.

Before you book

Car painting questions

Practical answers about prices, paint choices, coverage and collection.

How much does car painting cost in Dubai?

Our painting estimates start at AED 472.50 including 5% VAT for a suitable panel, from AED 2,100 for a same-colour sedan exterior repaint and from AED 3,675 for an SUV exterior repaint. Preparation, body repairs, blending, vehicle size and the chosen finish affect the final quote. Colour changes and specialist finishes are quoted individually.

Can you repaint just the bumper or one door?

Yes. We can assess an individual bumper, door, fender, bonnet, roof or other panel. We also check the neighbouring paint to decide whether blending is needed. A bumper painting quote is separate from repairing cracked plastic, replacing the bumper or restoring damaged fittings.

Can polishing fix faded or scratched paint instead?

Sometimes, when the existing clear coat is sound and the damage can be safely corrected. Polishing cannot replace missing colour, repair peeling clear coat or remove corrosion underneath the paint. We explain whether correction, local paint repair or a panel repaint is the better option.

Will a full repaint include door shuts and the engine bay?

Not automatically. A same-colour exterior repaint and a complete colour change have different coverage. Ask for door openings, under-bonnet areas, boot openings and any engine-bay work to be listed explicitly. The quotation identifies the panels and hidden areas included.

How long will my car be in the workshop?

A straightforward bumper or single panel may take around one to two working days. Multiple panels, full repaints and colour changes need longer, especially with body repairs or failed old coatings. Agree the booking slot and expected collection date after the car is assessed; curing and aftercare depend on the paint system.

Which paint brand will you use?

Ask us to identify the paint system proposed for your vehicle in the quotation. The preparation, colour match, compatibility of the materials and application process matter alongside the brand. Specialist colours and finishes need availability and sample confirmation before booking.

Is paint better than a vinyl wrap or ceramic coating?

They do different jobs. Repainting restores the coating on a prepared surface. A wrap changes the appearance of suitable existing paint but does not repair rust or a failing coating underneath. Ceramic coating and clear paint protection film are protective services, not replacements for missing or peeling paint.

What does the two-year paint warranty cover?

The two-year warranty applies to paintwork only, subject to the written paint-warranty terms and the agreed painted areas. It is not a blanket warranty on body repairs, parts or mechanical and electrical work. Keep your invoice and report a paint concern before authorising another workshop to alter the surface.

Do I need permission to change my car colour?

Before changing the registered colour, confirm the current permission requirements with Dubai Police and the vehicle-record amendment process with RTA. Tell us the intended colour at the quotation stage. Government fees and any registration work are separate from the paint quotation.

Can I send photos before booking an inspection?

Yes. Send the model and year, the affected panels and clear photographs on WhatsApp for an initial discussion. Tell us about rust, peeling, prior repainting and your preferred finish. Confirm any inspection charges and pickup arrangements before committing; they are not assumed to be included in the advertised painting price.
