Carbon fibre upgrade prices

The part, construction and vehicle determine the budget. These are broad guide ranges for the selected parts or customisation, not fixed supply-and-fit packages.

The written quote separates parts, preparation, fitting, finishing, any delivery charges and VAT, then confirms the total payable. Installation is not automatically included in these guide figures.

Know what you are buying

Real carbon. Overlay. Carbon look.

The pattern alone does not tell you how a part is made. Compare the construction as well as the photograph.

01 / A replacement component

Genuine carbon composite

Carbon fibre reinforcement and resin form the component. Some products use carbon with other backing materials, so the quote should identify the actual construction, not just say “carbon”.

Best reason to choose it: the material, finish and suitability of a properly specified part. Any weight saving depends on what it replaces.

Ask about genuine carbon
02 / The original part stays

Carbon skin or overlay

Real carbon can be bonded over an existing component, or a separate cover can sit over it. This adds a carbon surface while retaining the original part underneath.

Best reason to choose it: a coordinated visible weave on suitable trim. It adds material; it is not the same as replacing a part to reduce weight.

Discuss an overlay
03 / Appearance rather than structure

Carbon-look finish

Patterned vinyl or a printed decorative finish reproduces the look. Carbon-look vinyl is a film, not a structural carbon-fibre panel. Confirm the product and availability for your chosen area.

Best reason to choose it: visual styling without buying a replacement composite part. Removal and durability depend on the product and surface.

Compare the carbon look

A useful material distinction: real carbon veneer and carbon-pattern wrap film are different products. These examples explain the difference, not the brands included in your quotation.

One detail or a coordinated set

Build your carbon upgrade

Start with the areas you want to change. Select several parts for a coordinated quote, then tell us your car, material preference and finish below.

Which parts interest you?
The details you see every day

Interior carbon that fits together

A coordinated dashboard, centre console and door-trim set usually looks more deliberate than unrelated pieces with different weaves. Match the visible pattern, sheen and direction across neighbouring parts.

Replacement inserts and add-on covers need different checks. Extra thickness can interfere with buttons, lids, vents and trim joints. We assess the original finish, clips and clearances before recommending the method.

Airbag covers, deployment seams, steering controls and safety-critical seat components are not ordinary decorative panels. A styling request must not obstruct their operation. Send a photo of the exact trim rather than ordering by the car badge alone.

Choose the construction and the appearance

Weave, finish and consistency

Bring reference photos, then compare a sample or the actual available part. A phone screen is useful for ideas, not a final finish approval.

Woven or forged-style appearance

Twill has a recognisable diagonal weave. Forged carbon commonly uses chopped fibre with a different visual pattern. Neither a diagonal print nor a forged-style pattern proves the construction beneath it.

Gloss, satin or matte

Gloss emphasises depth and reflections; satin and matte give a quieter finish. Agree a matching sheen across the set. Tinted effects and special patterns depend on the chosen supplier and coating system.

Wet lay-up or prepreg

These describe manufacturing approaches. “Dry carbon” is often used for prepreg components, but matte appearance is not proof of prepreg. Ask for the supplier specification rather than choosing by a marketing label.

Finish quality in Dubai

Check the resin system, protective finish and supplier care requirements. The finished component is not automatically immune to heat, UV exposure or yellowing just because it contains carbon fibre.

A part number is only the start

Check the fit before installation

Model year, facelift, body style and bumper package can change compatibility. An M Sport bumper is not automatically the same as an M bumper; the same principle applies across AMG, S line and other model variants.

  1. Confirm the car and part

Review model details, the supplier specification, mounting kit and condition of the existing panel. Identify any missing hardware before booking.

  2. Trial-fit and agree changes

Check alignment, gaps, symmetry and clearances before final attachment or refinishing. Any drilling, trimming or irreversible change needs approval first.

  3. Fit with the specified method

Use the mounting method appropriate to the component. Adhesive, fasteners, surface preparation and curing requirements follow the part and product instructions.

  4. Check the complete assembly

Review security, moving parts, affected sensors and access to towing or lifting points. Confirm any follow-up checks and curing restrictions at handover.

Avoid paying twice for the wrong part

A complete quote before commitment

Compare the installed result, not just the online part price. Send a listing before ordering so fitment concerns can be identified early.

Parts and supply

Identify the manufacturer or supplier, construction, part numbers, finish and mounting hardware. Confirm availability, delivery time, deposit and return terms before a special order.

Installation and finish

Separate removal, trial fitting, mounting, trim replacements and any refinishing. Customer-supplied parts need a fitting assessment; an incompatible component may need returning rather than modifying the car to suit it.

Collection and cover

State the workshop time after parts arrive, the total with VAT and the applicable parts, installation and finish terms. Keep original components where return to standard is part of your plan.

Existing carbon needs the right assessment

Repair the finish or replace?

Cloudy clear coat, fine surface marks and peeling finish need a different assessment from split fibres, delamination or a damaged mounting point. First establish which layer is affected and what the component does.

A suitable cosmetic part may be considered for coating restoration. Cracks or impact damage need a repairability decision based on the part, manufacturer guidance and specialist requirements. A new clear coat does not restore a broken laminate.

Send photos of the whole part, damage, edges and mounting areas. Describe the impact and any previous repair. We explain whether cosmetic work, replacement or specialist assessment is appropriate before agreeing the job.

Structural carbon is different. Chassis, roof structures, seat shells and load-bearing parts require component-specific procedures and capabilities. This styling service is not a promise of in-house structural composite reconstruction.

Keep the upgrade practical

Everyday use, care and cover

Allow for ramps and clearance

Consider parking entrances and speed bumps when choosing a low front lip or side skirt. A decorative add-on does not increase crash protection, and an untested spoiler is not a guaranteed aerodynamic improvement.

Confirm road-use requirements

Before major body changes, check the proposed modification with RTA and your insurer. RTA identifies vehicles with modified bodies for Technical Inspection Committee review. Fitment alone does not establish road approval.

RTA technical inspection requirements

Protect the surface and edges

Follow the finish supplier’s wash instructions, remove contamination gently and avoid abrasive treatment on matte surfaces. Have loose fittings, lifting edges and impact damage checked rather than covering them with polish or film.

Separate the warranties

The two-year warranty is for paintwork only. It does not automatically cover carbon parts, laminate damage, fitting, adhesive, vinyl or future impacts. Confirm any applicable coating cover and separate parts or installation terms in writing.

Your carbon fibre workshop enquiry

Start with your exact car

BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Range Rover, Japanese performance cars and other models all need their own part checks. Tell us the year and trim, not just the make, and include any non-standard bumper or exhaust already fitted.

A straightforward in-stock accent can sometimes be fitted within a workshop day. A multi-part kit, custom finish, repair or special order takes longer. Parts arrival, trial fitting and adhesive curing are separate from the visible installation time.

Arrange the booking after the part review. Inspection charges, collection or delivery arrangements and any work by specialist suppliers are confirmed separately.

Carbon fibre questions answered

Practical answers about materials, compatibility, fitting and care.

How much do carbon fibre car upgrades cost in Dubai?

Our broad guide budgets are AED 5,000–15,000 for selected exterior components, AED 2,000–8,000 for interior trim work and AED 3,000–10,000 for model-specific engine-bay covers. They are not fixed supply-and-fit packages. Small accents, customer-supplied fitting and repairs are quoted individually. The written quotation confirms parts, fitting, finishing, VAT and the total.

Is carbon-look vinyl the same as real carbon fibre?

No. Carbon-look vinyl is a decorative film. A genuine carbon composite contains carbon reinforcement and resin. A real-carbon skin or overlay adds carbon over an existing part. These can all provide a different appearance, but they are not equivalent constructions and should be identified separately in the quote.

Can you fit a spoiler or diffuser I bought online?

Send the product link, part number, fitting instructions and photos before arranging installation. We assess the car version, mounting hardware and condition of the part. Acceptance and fitting charges depend on that review. A part that does not fit properly may need returning rather than forcing it into position.

Will carbon parts improve performance or save fuel?

A correctly engineered replacement can reduce weight compared with the part it replaces, but an overlay adds material. Aerodynamic performance depends on the tested design and installation, not the weave. Cosmetic carbon upgrades do not carry an automatic promise of more power, better braking or lower fuel use.

What is the difference between dry and wet carbon?

These terms usually refer to manufacturing approaches, with dry carbon commonly used for prepreg components and wet carbon for liquid-resin lay-up. They are not a simple gloss-versus-matte distinction. Confirm the actual supplier specification, construction and intended use of the component.

Can you match my existing carbon trim?

We assess the visible weave, direction, sheen and shape of the current pieces before proposing a match. Parts from different suppliers may not look identical. Send clear photos and compare a sample or the available component before approving a coordinated set.

Can cracked or yellowed carbon fibre be repaired?

It depends on the affected layer and the component. A suitable surface-coating problem may be considered for restoration. Broken fibres, delamination or damaged mountings require a separate repairability decision and may need replacement or specialist assessment. Clear coating alone does not repair a broken laminate.

How long does installation take?

A straightforward in-stock accent can sometimes be completed within a workshop day. A multi-part kit, custom finish or special-order item needs a longer plan. We separate sourcing time, trial fitting, final installation and curing before confirming the collection date.

Are carbon fibre body kits road-approved in Dubai?

Do not assume that a part is approved because it is available online or can be fitted. Check major body changes with RTA before committing and discuss them with your insurer. RTA’s technical inspection conditions identify vehicles with modified bodies for Technical Inspection Committee review.

Does the two-year warranty cover carbon parts?

The two-year warranty is for paintwork only. It is not a blanket warranty on carbon components, laminate damage, fitting, adhesive, vinyl or impact damage. The quote should identify any applicable finish cover and the separate parts and installation terms.
